An overview of Vietnam

Vietnam is S shape on the map located in the east of Indochina, South East Asia. To the north it borders China, to the south and east it is surrounded by the sea and to the west it is near Laos and Cambodia.

Population (2005): 83,119,900

Capital: Hanoi – the center of culture and politics.

The waters is about 1000,000 sq km with a coastline of 3,000 km along the east sea of Pacific Ocean. The sea belongs to Vietnam where is home to a precious and diverse natural resources and minerals.

In the highland of Vietnam where is suitable for rubber, trees,tea, coffee and etc.

Along the coastline from north to south there are many beautiful beaches easpecially, Halong bay (http://halong.org.vn) which has been recognised by UNESCO twice as the World Natural Heritage Site
